AI features are powered by Google Gemini. You have to explicitly turn them on — Globetrottr never sends your trip data to any external model until you say yes, and you can change your mind any time from Settings.
When AI is off, the app still works — itineraries, expenses, bookings, group trips, and document storage are all available.
When AI is on, trip context (destination, dates, activities, your chat messages) is sent to Google to generate suggestions. Your account credentials, payments, and other users' data are never shared.
